Planning Approvals Processes

What are the planning approval processes for the project? 

Project 1 – This project required an environmental impact statement (EIS). The purpose of the EIS was to assess the project’s potential environmental impacts and determine how we manage these impacts.

An approved Development Application (DA) was also needed before construction could begin.

Approval of the EIS and the DA is performed by the ACT Government Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate (EPSDD).

The EIS for Project 1 has now been determined to be complete by EPSDD with approval also given to DA (201935509). A separate DA (202037223) to account for construction access through Homann Place has also been approved.

Projects 2, 3 and 4 – Development Applications for Projects 2, 3 and 4 were granted in the first half of 2020.
