A time to connect with Music by the River
Once again in 2022, residents of the Queanbeyan region and the ACT will be able to be inspired by Music by the River, a wonderful, one-night only musical event by the Queanbeyan River. While the event will need to proceed in a COVID-safe manner again this year, we look forward to enjoying the beauty and character of the region.
In partnership with our community and region, Icon Water is proud to once again support this year’s event.
“We are excited to partner with the Queanbeyan Palerang Regional Council to bring Music by the River back to the banks of the Queanbeyan River. The previous editions have been evenings to remember, and this year looks set to be another memorable event. Icon Water has been providing water to Queanbeyan for almost 100 years, so we have a long history of partnership that’s worth celebrating. “– Ray Hezkial, Icon Water Managing Director.
Sitting by the water’s edge in Queanbeyan for the sixth year in a row, the Canberra Symphony Orchestra (CSO) will perform an evening of orchestral classics at Music by the River. It will be a wonderful night for music lovers, those being introduced to the joy of live music for the first time and those wanting to soak up the atmosphere. A concert for the whole family.
“We can't wait to perform our annual night of Music by the River.” – Kirsten Williams, CSO Concertmaster. ‘This year, we’re joined by sensational local singer Rachel Thoms for a program of gorgeous classics and jazz favourites. This is a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together, relax and soak up the vibrant sounds of live music.”
If you would like to attend, this year you must pre-register to ensure that you can enter the event space.
Get in quick as tickets are being snapped up by groups of friends and families. Attendees will be able to enjoy local wines and tasty food van favourites, or can bring along their own picnic to enjoy.
