Details about World Water Day
World Water Day is an international observance and an opportunity to learn more about water related issues, be inspired to tell others and take action to make a difference. World Water Day dates back to when the United Nations first appointed it on 22 March 1993 as the first World Water Day. It has been held annually since then.
As stated by Water.org, 663 million people – about one in ten – lack access to safe water. And 2.4 billion people - one in three people - lack access to a toilet.
Icon Water is very proud to be a part of World Water Day to support the awareness and importance of such a vital resource.
