Project applications and compliance

Completing our application process will demonstrate your project is compliant with our standards and guidelines.

There are several pathways for submitting an application. Before you can determine which pathway to follow, you must understand how your project will impact our assets (water meter, pipes, mains, etc.). If you're not sure what we're talking about, visit changes or additions to my property.

 Which pathway should you follow? 
Below you will find four categories containing one, or more, application pathways. Please review their descriptions and select the option that best applies to you.

 

Homes and dual occupancies
This category is for projects involving:

  • Any changes to your property, such as installing a pool, adding a carport or landscaping.
  • The construction of a standalone house, secondary residence (such as a granny flat) or dual occupancy.

There are three (3) pathways for this category. Select the process that best applies to your project.

1. Just a quote
Select this process if:

  • You only plan to move a water meter less than 1.5m.
  • You only plan to raise or lower a sewer manhole.

2. No changes to our services
Select this process if:

  • You don't need a new water or sewer tie.
  • You won't require changes to an existing water or sewer tie.

3. At least one change to our services
Select this process if:

  • You must add/change a water or sewer service.
  • Your project doesn't fit into the first two categories.

 


Building three (3) or more town houses
This category is for projects involving the construction of:

  • three (3) or more town houses.
  • a mix of town houses and other buildings (not multi-unit buildings). 

There is only one (1) pathway for this category.

Suburbs, estates & roads

This category is for projects involving the development of:

  • a suburb.
  • an estate
  • roads.

All other types of development
This category is for projects involving the construction/renovation of: 

  • a multi-unit residential building (e.g. apartments).
  • a non-residential building (for example: buildings of worship, child care, schools, hospitals, offices, retailers, warehouses or hotels).
  • a mixed-use building (e.g. the building has different crown leases).

There are three (3) pathways for this category. Select the process that best applies to your project.

1. Seeking a quotation
Select this process if:

  • You only plan to move a water meter less than 1.5m.
  • You only plan to raise or lower a sewer manhole.

2. Development without service changes
Select this process if:

  • You don't need a new water or sewer tie.
  • You won't require changes to an existing water or sewer tie.

3. Development with service changes
Select this process if:

  • You must add/change a water or sewer service.
  • Your development doesn't fit into the first two categories.
