Flushable products standard

 Other than the 3 P’s, what’s safe to flush? Any product bearing either the symbol below or the line ‘Complies with AS/NZS 5328:2022’ is safe to flush down your toilet. 

You can expect to see this symbol (or text) more and more in stores throughout Australia! 

What does this symbol and text mean? 
If a product has either the symbol or text displayed above, then it is compliant with the Australian and New Zealand Flushable Products Standard. This means the product has met certain criteria, and passed a series of tests, to confirm it is suitable for flushing down the toilet. 

Products that meet this standard will break down as they travel through Australia’s wastewater networks (much like toilet paper).
