Australian death notification service

We are sincerely sorry for your loss. We hope to make updating your loved one’s water and sewerage account as easy as possible.

The Australian Death Notification Service (ADNS) has simplified this process by simultaneously notifying multiple organisations that a person has passed away. 

To notify Icon Water and other organisations via this service, please visit the Australian Death Notification Service and provide:

  • Details of the person who has passed away
  • Confirmation you would like to notify Icon Water
  • Your details

The ADNS will validate the information and pass this through our team. We will then be in contact with you to action your request. 

We may request a copy of the death certificate and executor of the will (if you have them) to update the account contact information. The water and sewerage account will remain active under the alternate contact information until Icon Water receives formal notification detailing the sale or transfer of the premises.
