Road closures in place due to burst water main

Icon Water are working to have roads reopened in the City following a burst water main on Bunda Street.

Bunda Street is closed to traffic in both directions between Genge Street and Scotts Crossing. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible. Access remains open for pedestrian foot travel through the area.

Repairs to the burst main are underway however due to the location of the burst and road surfaces in the area, those repairs will take additional time.

We are unable to predict faults such as burst water mains. Water mains can break due to a number of factors including age, soil condition, and interference. As faults are reported to us we respond as quickly as possible.
