Temporary water discolouration in Holt and surrounding suburbs

Residents in Holt and surrounding suburbs may experience temporary water discolouration this evening, Friday 3 January 2020 following a burst water main on Starke Street. 

This is due to changes in water pressure stirring up small amounts of natural sediment in the pipes.

We don’t recommend that you drink water that appears, tastes or smells objectionable. 

It’s also better not to use household appliances, such as your dishwasher or washing machine, due to possible staining or discolouration of clothes.
