Icon Water Expert Panel

Our community depend on us to provide essential services and it is important that we meet their expectations of ensuring water security as our city grows and evolves. We are very proud of the work that we do, but we believe it is important for us to avoid taking an insulated approach. We know that in order to build resilience, being questioned is a good thing.

We invited well respected Experts from a range of backgrounds to challenge our thinking and approach. A series of three forums were held through May and June 2020.

The purpose of the forums was to seek independent and informed perspectives on emerging priorities, and potential innovations that Icon Water could consider with respect to long term water security for our region.

The outcome of the forums was a report produced by the Expert participants. Feedback provided will support future reviews of our Water Resource Model, inform our Drought Management Plan and has reaffirmed where partnerships are essential to achieve the best possible outcomes for our community.
