Standpipes and hydrants
Standpipes are portable hydrants designed to be connected to a fire hydrant on a water main to gain access to bulk water.
All standpipes used in the ACT must be metered and hired from our office at
12 Hoskins Street, Mitchell.
Who can hire a standpipe from Icon Water?
Our standpipes are available for businesses such as contractors or water carters (following an application and approval).
They are not available to residential customers for personal or domestic purposes.
Standpipes must not be used for construction site supply.
